My mother recently forwarded me a story written by Thomas Lake of the Atlanta Magazine. It's a little long...but it's was worth the read. It's been 14 years (or so) since I've lived in Dalton. I grew up in Dalton....and even though I don't know the city as it is now.....I remember it the carpet mills, streets, people and places....and the way it used to be.
